If you’ve been around the church for any length, 2 Samuel 6 is likely a story you have heard before. It’s where David dances naked in front of his people in jubilant praise to God. But that’s not all that the story contains. It also tells the troubling story of a man named Uzzah who is struck down by God for a seemingly innocent, even helpful, act.
What was happening here? How are we to process stories like this? And is there anything we can learn for our life following Jesus today?
