On our Feb. 25 City-Wide Gathering, the Mt. Seymour church shared about how they were given $200 to divide up and then distribute as each member saw fit. In the stories they reported back, it was pretty cool to see how even a little can go a long way in furthering God's kingdom. From this event they asked me to provide some teaching around the theme "Share the Wealth". This podcast is what God laid on my heart to teach.

The following are some scriptures that you will need to have at hand:

Luke 15:20-24
So he got up and went to his father, "But
while he was still a long way off, his father
saw him and was filled with compassion for
him; he ran to his son, threw his arms
around him and kissed him...the father said
to his servants, 'Quick! Bring the best robe
and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger
and sandals on his feet. Bring the fattened
calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and
celebrate. For this son of mine was dead
and is alive again; he was lost and is found.'
So they began to celebrate.

Romans 12:13
Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality.

1Peter 4:9
The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear
minded and self-controlled so that you can pray.
Above all, love each other deeply, because love
covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to
one another without grumbling

Job 31:16-23, 31-32
"If I have denied the desires of the poor ?or let the eyes of the widow grow weary,
if I have kept my bread to myself, not sharing it with the fatherless
if I have seen anyone perishing for lack of clothing,
or a needy man without a garment
and his heart did not bless me for warming him with the fleece from my sheep
then let my arm fall from the shoulder,
let it be broken off at the joint
For I dreaded destruction from God,
and for fear of his splendor I could not do such things.

if the men of my household have never said,
'Who has not had his fill of Job's meat?'-
but no stranger had to spend the night in the street, for my door was always open to the traveler

John 13:3-5
Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under
his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples' feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.

Hebrews13:1-3
Keep on loving each other as brothers. Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it. Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.

Leviticus 19:33-34
When an alien lives with you in your land, do not mistreat him. The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native-born. Love him as yourself, for you were aliens in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

Mark 14:22-24
While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave
thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples,
saying, "Take it; this is my body."
Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, and they all drank from it
"This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many,"
